“We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand.”
HEBREWS 5:11 (NIV)
There is a quiet danger that can settle into the life of a believer not the danger of outright rebellion, but something subtler: the danger of becoming content with where you are. Comfortable. Settled. Unwilling to be stretched. The writer of Hebrews names it plainly: you have become slow to learn.
It means sluggish, dull, heavy of hearing). It paints a picture not of someone who has rejected God, but of someone who has simply stopped leaning in. Someone who once had ears to hear but no longer strains forward to listen.
“God has so much more to say to you but dullness of heart makes it hard to hear.”
The world is full of things we are yet to know
Slow learning is rarely dramatic. It does not announce itself. It creeps in quietly, often in seasons of ease , when life is manageable, when Sunday service has become routine, when the Bible sits unopened for days and we barely notice. Familiarity becomes a ceiling instead of a floor.
Jesus never celebrated spiritual mediocrity. He consistently called people beyond themselves, beyond their nets, beyond their comfort, beyond their understanding. The disciples were always being stretched past what they thought was possible. That stretching was not punishment; it was discipleship.
“There has to be a hunger for more and hunger is something you cultivate, not something you wait for.”
Choose hunger. Choose openness.
Growth in God begins with two decisions: to be hungry, and to be open. Hunger means you refuse to treat what you already know as a ceiling. You come to the Word expecting something new. You pray with the understanding that there is always more of God to receive. Openness means you hold your current understanding loosely willing to be corrected, refined, expanded, surprised.
These are not passive traits. They are choices you make, especially on the days when you do not feel like making them. Spiritual hunger is fed by seeking. Openness is practiced by submission. Neither happens by accident.
Do not make peace with spiritual smallness. Let there be a holy restlessness in you the kind that keeps asking, keeps seeking, keeps knocking. God is not withholding Himself from you. He is waiting for you to want more of Him.
EACH DAY!
Day after day pours out speech, and night after night reveals knowledge. When Jesus healed on the Sabbath, He reminded His critics that man was not created for the day, but the day was created for man. Time was designed to serve God’s purpose in us.God designed each day with a voice and each night with a revelation. Nothing about your life is ordinary. Every day is speaking. Every night is teaching. God is always communicating.Yet in Job 38:12, God asked, “Have you commanded the morning since your days began?”That tells us something powerful. The day has a voice, but you also have authority. The day speaks purpose because God designed it. But you command your day by aligning it with His will. Commanding your day is not shouting at the sun. It is declaring God’s Word over your hours. It is choosing righteousness before the day unfolds. It is partnering with what heaven has already written. If you are not intentional, the noise of life can overpower the voice of purpose. So yes, the day speaks. But you respond by speaking too.God creates the day.The day pours out speech. You rise and command it according to His Word. The question is, are you listening… and are you speaking? ✨🙏
It been awhile here. I thought to share some amazing note from Manah Initiative Devotional Series
Day 4: Stir Up Your Gift
Bible Text: 2 Timothy 1:6 (NIV) “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you.”
God has placed a special gift in everyone. It might be singing, writing, helping others, or encouraging people. But your gift grows only when you use it. Just like fire needs air to keep burning, your gift needs practice and consistency to shine. Challenges and discipline help refine you, just like gold refined by fire.
Prayer: Lord, help me to use and grow the gifts You’ve given me.
Journaling: What is one gift God has given me, and how can I develop it today?
SHE THOUGHT (2)
Mark.5.28 – For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his clothing, I will be healed.”
Your thoughts are far more powerful than you might realize. They act as gates—gates that can either close you off or open your eyes to new possibilities. These gates determine the path you take, shaping your experiences and the gifts you begin to recognize within yourself.
Her thoughts had the power to either limit her or liberate her. You need to shift your mindset and embrace more empowering thoughts, begin to tap into the deeper spiritual gifts you have inside. The gates of your mind weren’t just a reflection of your thoughts—they were a gateway to the incredible potential within you.
SHE THOUGHT (1)
(The foundation of change)
She was rooted deeply in the values of life, grounded in an institution designed for growth and transformation. This institution wasn’t an ordinary one; it is a school with several faculties aimed at helping individuals grow in every aspect of life. One of the most powerful faculties was called The Mind..
In the Faculty of The Mind, she discovered a truth that would shape the rest of her journey: transformation begins within. This Faculty of The Mind, helped her unlock a deeper understanding of herself. As she nurtured her mind, she found that her true healing and wholeness came from a shift in perspective.
Her journey began to unfold, showing her that transformation starts in the mind. When you change the way you think, your entire world begins to change
Embrace Your Calling
John the Baptist knew who he was—the voice crying in the wilderness, preparing the way for the Lord. He did not wait for comfort or applause; he stood firm, proclaiming the truth, knowing that the kingdom of God is for those who press in with unwavering faith.
Today, the call remains the same. The world is a wilderness, filled with distractions, doubts, and deceptions. But like John, you are called to be a voice—bold, fearless, and purpose-driven. The kingdom of God does not belong to the passive; it is taken by those who refuse to be silent, those who fight for righteousness, those who shine as light in the darkness.
Do not shrink back. Do not wait for the perfect moment. The time is now! Stand firm in your identity, declare the truth, and prepare hearts for the coming King. Let your voice echo in the wilderness until Jesus is known
THE FULL PACKAGE
….. not just one thing; she was the full package—a woman of wisdom, strength, and divine purpose. As a prophet, she spoke God’s truth with clarity, guiding Israel through times of uncertainty. As a judge, she provided justice and led the nation with integrity and fairness, earning the respect of all. But Deborah’s leadership wasn’t limited to authority; she was also a warrior, stepping into the battlefield with unwavering courage to free her people from oppression.
In addition to these powerful roles, Deborah was a praiser who never failed to acknowledge God’s greatness, lifting her voice in song after victory. She was a wife, balancing her calling with her family life, showing that true greatness isn’t about doing it all at the expense of what matters most but doing it all with purpose and passion.
Deborah proves that one person, empowered by God, can wear many hats and thrive in each. She was the full package—a woman of faith, leadership, and praise. Her life reminds us that when we are aligned with God’s purpose, we are capable of achieving greatness in every area of our lives.

The Oil
Imagine a jar filled with oil, symbolizing purpose and potential. This oil has the power to anoint kings, light lamps, and even bring healings. However, its transformative abilities remain dormant until the right catalyst comes along – much like the biblical figure David, his brothers and Prophet Samuel (1 Samuel 16:1-13) The same oil that anointed David couldn’t anoint his brothers, not that they are evil, just not the right people.
This analogy reflects the journey of many young minds and their experiences, brimming with gifts, talents, and dreams, yet often find themselves connected to the wrong people or focused on misguided goals.
When we pour our “oil” into unfulfilling relationships or habits that hinder growth, frustration inevitably follows.
One of the ways to unlock the full potential of our “oil,” is to connect with the right people and pursue meaningful objectives. By doing so, we can ensure that our purpose and potential are utilized, leading to a life of fulfillment.
